VOICE ACTING

Before I enrolled at Southwestern, I took a gap year, during which I discovered a passion for voice over and voice acting.  I had always enjoyed mimicking my favorite cartoons or movie stars, but I never considered I could use that talent to make a career.  Voice acting is what actually rekindled my love for acting in general, and I decided I would pursue both of them together.  I attended workshops, I found freelance audition sites, and applied my skills to projects I found on campus.  As I've expanded my work in theatre, I've been nurturing my passion for voice acting, applying what I've learned and reaching for new heights.

Cup of Gold Interactive Game

This game was a prototype meant to instruct first years on the resources available at the library and how to use them.

It was basically a scavenger hunt with quizzes and information interspersed in the gameplay and featured a fully rendered 3D model of the library.

I voice Cullen the parrot and the ghost of Francis Mood.

Cherry, Episode 1 - White Poppies and Pine

I was cast in this project on a freelance audition website when one of the previous actors dropped out.  It's an audio drama that follows a young woman as she tries to escape enslavement.  The voice I use is a personal favorite, and I've been able to re-use it on a few occasions, including my theatre work.

I voice the auctioneer.  He comes in at 4:04.

Gabriel; A Polemic

In line with my other videography work, this video documents the makings of a new original work by C. Denby Swanson.  It offers insight into what the play stands for, her experience as a playwright, and how the production came together.

I narrate this video.  If you'd like to see my other videography work CLICK HERE for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and CLICK HERE for Dead Man Walking.

Character Workshop

During my semester abroad in New York, I found a weekly voice over master class focused on building character voices.  I worked with Paul Liberti who's done everything from cartoons to commercials.  The unique feature of the class was a chance to get behind the mic and voice act while Paul coached us.  At the end of the class, each participant received the recordings of their work.  Here are a few of mine.
