The Effect was the capstone production for senior theatre majors.  We started looking for plays that were contemporary, allowed for enough creative freedom, and accommodated a small cast.  We were all very involved in the creative process, and while individuals eventually branched off as designers or management, all our ideas came from a collaborative spirit.  For me, it's fair to say that this show was the sum of everything that I treasure as an actor.  I played with physicality, I found ways to make Tristan human, I found objectives to pursue, and I felt like I connected with the audience.  As my final production at Southwestern, it was a joy to work on.
